Inspired by an intimate backyard snowboard jam hosted for fun by Tribu founder and CEO Micah Desforges, Apik showcases a unique culture that took shape in our frozen city, and has evolved into a revolutionary, unity-driven, multi-day event showcasing the best in action sports performed on snow, and steel.

Apik has brought the spirit of the snowy mountains to downtown Montreal’s vibrant Latin Quarter neighborhood, inspiring audiences numbering tens of thousands as they watch skiers and snowboarders demonstrate explosive talent and astonishing human ability through adrenaline-powered sport.

Over three days, snow sport athletes, lifelong fans, and curious spectators will congregate at Mississauga’s Celebration Square to witness the best in urban snowboarding and skiing on a cutting-edge, custom-built course. APIK Mississauga 2025 is the launch of a three year contract with the City of Mississauga, and we anticipate upwards of 45,000 attendees at the inaugural event.

APIK Mississauga 2025 will offer a window into a world you may have never witnessed before, and an experience to remember for a lifetime. The event includes a $100,000 cash purse, across all disciplines, a jaw-dropping rail jam, snow skating demos, and snowboarding initiation sessions for groms under seven, as well as workshops, cultural performances, and presentations of sustainable practices and the latest innovations in winter sport.

Food trucks will offer a variety of cozy eats and drink, and an after-party featuring live music and DJs will keep the party going long into the night.

APIK Mississauga is accessible and free to the public. Inclusivity is a driving force for Tribu and our event partners, and equal prize money will be awarded in men and women categories. There will be activities open to all attendees, and some of your favorite superstars in ski and snowboard will be there to wow you in Mississauga.

The winter and the snow are part of what defines us as Canadians, and Quebecers. We are driven to seek natural spaces and also challenge ourselves to enjoy life to its fullest in all seasons and environments. Bringing the mountains to the city opens up our landscapes and imaginations. The possibilities are endless, and the passion is real.
