The success of a backyard snowboard jam held for fun by Tribu founder and CEO Micah Desforges, and the incredible feedback received from the action sports community, is the pillar on which our company was built. Over time, this once informal event has evolved into a breathtaking throw down of urban skiing and snowboarding, free to the public, that draws thousands of winter warriors to Montreal\u2019s Latin Quarter.<\/h4>\n

From February 7 to 9, Tribu<\/a> is bringing our signature winter festival to Mississauga\u2019s Celebration Square. We are weeks away from the inaugural APIK<\/a>, Ontario Edition.<\/p>\n

Mississauga, twenty minutes from Pearson International Airport (Toronto) and thirty minutes from downtown Toronto, is an international destination in its own right. 1.\u00a0 Catch a Raptors 905<\/a> or Toronto Rock game at Paramount Fine Foods Centre<\/h4>\n

\nBasketball exploded in popularity in southern Ontario when a bball team by the name of the Toronto Raptors<\/a> took home the NBA championship in 2019, a history-making moment.\u00a0 Mississauga is a town for sports fans, and its Paramount Fine Foods Centre<\/a> is the proud home to Raptors 905,\u00a0 the first NBA G League team based outside of the United States. On February 7th, 2025, Raptors 905 will face Osceola Magic in an exciting match-up. If Lacrosse is more your interest, the Paramount Fine Foods Centre is also home to Toronto Rock, who take on the San Diego Seals on Saturday, February 8th, 2025. 3.\u00a0 Head North to Blue Mountain<\/h4>\n

If you are still buzzing from APIK adrenaline, why not extend your visit with a trip to Blue Mountain<\/a>, Ontario\u2019s largest mountain village resort? Nestled along the turquoise blue shores of Georgian Bay, on the breathtaking Niagara Escarpment \u2013 a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve with the oldest forest ecosystem in eastern North America \u2013 Blue Mountain is close to my heart as the place where I fell in love with snowboarding. Stop by their pop up shop at the APIK site and consider making the short 130 km drive north (with some amazing views along the way) to make some turns. Burton team rider and 2024 Natural Selection Tour winner Mike Ciccarelli<\/a> is from this region. Although Ciccarelli now calls Whistler, BC home, it was on these ranges, near his hometown of Ancaster, Ontario, that he honed his skills in slopestyle and big air snowboarding.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
